October Resin Workshop - Birkenhead

Original price

$249.00

Sale price

$199.20

When: Sunday, 20th October, 2024 - 4 pm

Where: Highbury Community House, 110 Hinemoa St, Birkenhead, Auckland

In this approx. 2 hour resin art workshop, you will create your very own resin charcuterie board (choose a round or rectangular one - limited numbers available) and a couple of coasters (depending on how much resin you use on your charcuterie board). Beginners are most welcome, no prior experience required to attend.

All supplies and safety gear will be provided to you including the charcuterie board, resin, pigments, moulds, required tools, gloves, respirator mask and more.

Since resin takes about 12 hours to cure, you will have to leave your piece behind on workshop day but will be able to pick it up the following morning or have it shipped directly to your door (please refer to the Pick up or Shipping Info section on this page).

Hannah, your workshop teacher, will be finishing off your pieces in the morning by removing drips and sanding where required, so they are ready to be used in your home - or gifted.

Aprons will be provided but please be sure to wear something you don't mind getting dirty (ruined) as resin doesn't wash out. If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie to keep your hair out of your artwork.

But don't let this stop you from attending this amazing workshop. Resin is a wonderful medium to create with.

*For ages 16+ years.

Health & Safety

Resin is a chemical compound which releases gases while in its liquid form and curing.

We provide respirators, gloves and aprons to all attendees of my workshops, however, we do not take any responsibility for medical concerns and/or damage to clothing caused by resin or heat tools being used during our workshops. It is recommended that you wear long sleeve clothes that you wouldn't mind getting damaged (resin doesn't wash out).

If you suffer from asthma, have sensitive skin or eyes, or are pregnant, it is recommended you pass on this workshop.

I will do my best to keep the room ventilated and am providing all safety gear, however, we are all different and every body may react differently.

Should you not feel well throughout the workshop, please notify me immediately, so you are looked after.
